About Support the Sisters
Support the Sisters is an independent group of neighbors of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) property at 345 Belden Hill who believe the Sisters’ current plan to develop the property with the Hines company as a continuing care retirement community is the best choice for the neighborhood and Wilton. This is not a membership group. It is quite simply a group of neighbors helping each other show support for the SSND project.
The group is not backed by SSND, Hines, or anyone else associated with the project, and does not receive any financial support from them. The initial organizer of the group is David Rintoul, who lives across the street from the SSND property. You can reach him at the Contact link above or by emailing YesToTheNuns@yahoo.com
All the plans and photos of the property are taken from public filings.

Group Goals:
To share information and perspective: The group fosters conversation about why the proposed SSND/Hines development is good for the neighborhood and for Wilton.
To keep neighbors and residents informed: The group stays tuned in to public hearings and other meetings and shares updates here on this site and by email.
To show support for the project: The group encourages neighbors to show their support for SSND/Hines by displaying yard signs, writing letters or emails to public officials, and sharing this website with other concerned residents.
To advocate with the town of Wilton, Hines and the Sisters: Every development changes over the course of obtaining zoning and other approvals, and to address changing market conditions. The group will advocate to keep all the positive elements of the SSND/Hines plan, and to hold Hines and the Sisters to their promises during the development process.
